Hunt/Pinnacle Team at Dover Air Force Base Wins PHMA Outstanding Housing Installation Team AwardWASHINGTON – The Department of the Air Force recently announced its selection of the Dover Air Force Base Privatization Team as the winner of the 2007 Professional Housing Management Association (PHMA) Outstanding Housing Installation Team Award. The winning team is comprised of the Dover Air Force Base leadership and housing management team; Pinnacle, an American Management Services Company of Seattle; and Hunt Development Group of El Paso, Texas.

“The competitiveness of the nominations signifies first-class leadership and innovative thinking in the Air Force,” said U.S. Air Force Deputy Chief Robert M. Moore, Asset Management and Operations Division. “Their relentless drive, energy and thirst for success set the standard for excellence.”

This award will be officially presented at PHMA’s Professional Development Seminar in Denver on Thursday, 31 January 2008.

“Our commitment to a strong partnership program was a key factor in our selection as the winner of this award,” said Ray Couey, 436th Civil Engineer Squadron housing and base-asset manager. "At project completion in 2009, the 212 homes constructed in 2004 - 2005 will be joined by 768 new homes, making Dover the first base in Air Mobility Command to have all new housing.”

New homes feature two-car garages, no less than two full baths, and energy-efficient appliances. Service members are no longer responsible for their snow removal or landscaping unless they have a fenced yard.

“We take great pride in our ability to provide our service members with state of the industry homes and enabling them to have more time with their families,” said Pinnacle Community Director Phil Weis. “We consider it our mission to contribute to the community at Dover Air Force Base.”

“We are extremely pleased the Air Force is recognizing the Dover project for this award,” Robin Vaughn, Executive Vice President and Head of Hunt’s Military Housing Privatization Division said. “It is always our intent to provide the highest and best level of satisfaction for the Air Force and the families living and working at Dover.”
