Honolulu, HI -- Hunt Development Group announced today that Craig McGinnis has joined the company as a Vice President. In this position, McGinnis will oversee The Waterfront at Pu‘uloa, (formerly the Iroquois Point Island Club), where he will be responsible for all development and asset management efforts.

Prior to joining Hunt Development Group, McGinnis was vice president of Jones Lang LaSalle, where he supported the U.S. Army’s Residential Communities Initiative (RCI) through advisory support with the development and asset management of a $2.3 billion residential development on multiple military installations on the island of O‘ahu. He also led the land use and feasibility study to identify development opportunities for a new federal office campus on St. Elizabeths West Campus, a 176-acre National Historic Landmark in Washington D.C.

From 2003 to 2005, McGinnis was deputy project manager for Kellogg, Brown & Root – a subsidiary of Halliburton, Inc. – where he planned and initiated development of 400,000 GSF of industrial and municipal space in multiple locations across Baghdad, Iraq. He was also accountable for operational and logistical support in the construction and management of 14 separate base camps located throughout Baghdad.

In addition, McGinnis is a former U.S. Army captain, having served as a light infantry officer in Fort Benning, GA, Fort Ord, CA, Egypt, Israel, Korea, and Fort Campbell, KY, from 1988 to 1996.

McGinnis earned a master’s degree in finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering management from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
