Military Communities

Hunt is a nationally recognized leader in the most successful public-private partnership program in the U.S, the Military Housing Privatization Initiative. As the premier military housing community developer, we have a reputation for providing unsurpassed quality and service to the men and women who serve in our nation's Armed Forces. It's a core focus for Hunt, and a mission our company takes seriously. Our focus is on creating great places to live. Hunt works with the best land planners, architects and community designers to provide quality communities with community centers, parks and amenities that rival those outside the gate.

Hunt currently has an ownership interest in 33,980 military homes owned in 20 states throughout the U.S. in partnership with the Department of Defense. In the course of our history, Hunt has been responsible for more than 70,000 total military homes built totaling $5.5 billion in total development costs and over $7 billion in construction costs.

Multifamily Housing

Hunt is a full-service developer, general contractor, and property / asset manager of multifamily properties.  Over the years, Hunt has partnered with local governments, financial institutions and neighborhood organizations.

  • 141 turnkey military housing (Milcon) projects, totaling over 32,539 units
  • 37 privatized military housing projects, totaling over 36,388 units

Community Development

In addition to our award winning military communities, Hunt is a leading developer of master-planned, sustainable neighborhood and mixed-use communities in the southwest and Hawaii. We specialize in the acquisition of land and subsequent planning, entitlement and development of communities. All of our master-planned communities are guided by sustainable development principles and designed to include a rich variety of mixed-use components—blending office, retail and residential structures with jogging trails, bike lanes, neighborhood parks, landscaped medians and parkways, undisturbed open space, and other amenities.

Commercial and Retail

Hunt owns, develops and builds mixed-use developments, lifestyle centers, power centers, commercial office and industrial space. Our portfolio of completed projects includes over 923,000 square feet of retail space, 150,000 of commercial office and over one million square feet of industrial space throughout Hawaii, New Mexico, Utah and Texas. Hunt pursues mixed-use and commercial developments in select private markets, as part of master-planned community integration and through the U.S. Government’s Enhanced Use Lease Programs.
