El Paso, TX – Hunt Companies, Inc. (the “Company”) today announced that, effective January 1, 2015, Chris Hunt will become Chief Executive Officer of the Company and Woody L. Hunt will transition to the role of Executive Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors. The Hunt Companies Board of Directors approved the appointments during its recent December 2014 Board of Directors meeting. Woody L. Hunt will remain involved in the business through his role as Executive Chairman and his majority shareholder position.
Woody began his career with Hunt in 1968 and became President and CEO in 1977. Under his leadership, the company has experienced extensive growth and diversification.

Hunt. “We have been working towards this transition for some time and have put a solid management team and governance structure in place that will support the next generation of leadership and growth of the Hunt business. Through his 21 years with the Company, Chris has become extremely knowledgeable about every facet of the business and I am fully confident he will continue to lead Hunt in the right direction.”
Chris Hunt began his career at Hunt in 1993. He previously served as President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Investment Officer and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2001.
