Privatized Military Housing

Privatized Military Housing     Other Public Private Partnerships

The Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI) allows private sector real estate developers, builders and property managers to partner with the Department of Defense to provide affordable, high-quality homes for our men and women in uniform and their families. Since the inception of this program, Hunt has become a leader in the Military Privatization Market.  We pride ourselves on not just providing high-quality homes, but building communities.  We believe our armed forces are the best in the world and they deserve the best from us.  In every community we develop, we provide natural landscaping and parks as well as other neighborhood recreational amenities, as we are committed to providing the same community amenities that civilian neighborhoods offer their residents.

Hunt has worked with the Department of Defense in the development of 24 MHPI projects comprised of over 32,000 units with project costs in excess of $5 billion. Of the 24 MHPI projects, 11 are complete. The largest of these privatization projects to date is Camp Pendleton with over 10,000 units and development costs in excess of $1.6 billion.
