CGL Announces New Chief Operating Officer

COLUMBIA, SC (August 7, 2012) – CGL, a leading international public facility design, management, and maintenance firm, today announced the hiring of Vahé Gabriel as its new chief operating officer.

Gabriel is a management executive with more than 20 years of experience in senior– level leadership positions for start-up, early stage growth and existing, on-going operations. He has been involved in all aspects of due diligence on a number of acquisitions that totaled more the $500 million, as well as provided corporate oversight of monthly operating reviews, capital expenditures, annual budgets, and monthly forecasting.

Before joining CGL, Gabriel served as senior vice-president and regional vice-president for Waste Services, Inc. (WSI) where he was responsible for all operational and planning management of the South Florida Region with $100 million in annual revenue. In this role, he developed successful partnerships and strategies with Miami Dade County officials and customers to ensure operational and financial success.

Gabriel also served as the eastern area controller for Waste Management. During his time with Waste Management, Gabriel was responsible for all financial management and reporting, as well as all operational reporting, budgeting, and monthly reporting for the Eastern region which had annual revenues in excess of $4 billion and included approximately 100 collection operations, 50 transfer stations, and 80 landfills.

Gabriel earned his MBA from the University of Washington’s Executive MBA Program in 1994.
